Of course, there are also plenty of amazing options if you aren’t on a budget! The last time we visited Ubud, we were on a pretty strict backpacker’s budget. But we were still able to stay at an amazing resort for under $30 per night!

This homestay in Ubud, Bali is basic but comfortable and overlooks the beautiful rice fields of Bali. The owners of Kenari House are the best part of the Ubud homestay experience.

They will welcome you to their homestay (which is separate from their house) with food and drinks and you can text them to bring breakfast to your room when you want it!

The homestay is located on a quiet side street surrounded by locals’ homes. Kenari House is definitely one of the best budget choices for the best places to stay in Ubud.

2. Baruna Guest House

Baruna Guest House is another great choice for a great homestay experience in Ubud. The owner, Abut, is an extremely accommodating host who even doubles as a driver or a tour guide.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and the guest house is within walking distance of the famous Yoga Barn Studio in Ubud. You can rent scooters or bikes from Abut to help you get around Ubud. They also have excellent WIFI and a delicious cheap breakfast every morning.

3. Pangung Sari

Pangung Sari Guest House is located about 1 mile from the center of Ubud. Each room has a terrace overlooking a courtyard garden decorated with a Balinese flair. Again the hosts are what make this Ubud guest house such an amazing experience.

They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and will arrange anything you need while visiting Bali. We recommend you rent a scooter from them for their great rental prices.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. They even have a small kitchen where you can cook your own meals while staying.

Within walking distance to Ubud Market and the city center, Taman Amartha is a gorgeous hotel located right outside the hustle and bustle of town.

4. Swasti Eco Cottages

It’s definitely worth it to splurge on a whole villa at Calma Ubud. Each room is decorated gorgeously with an open-air breezy feeling. The infinity pool alone is a great reason to stay here.
